Seth M. Zeidman, MD

Dr. Zeidman attended Duke University for both undergraduate and medical school.  He graduated with honors from Trinity College of Duke University.  He graduated from Duke University School of Medicine with Special Recognition for excellence in Internal Medicine and Pathology.  He completed an internship in General Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital as well as a Residency in Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.  Dr. Zeidman completed a fellowship in Neurosurgical Research with an emphasis on brain and spinal tumors at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland.  Following a year as the Assistant Chief of Service at the Johns Hopkins Hospital he served in the US Army as director of Neurosurgical Spinal Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  He relocated to Rochester in 1999 and was appointed the director of Complex Spinal Neurosurgery at the University of Rochester – Strong Memorial Hospital.  In 2002 he founded Rochester Brain and Spine and has since served as its President and founding Partner.

Roger Ng, MD

Dr. Roger Ng is Board Certified both in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.  His Anesthesia training was completed here in Rochester at Strong Memorial Hospital where he was the Chief Resident of his graduating class. After traveling to San Francisco to complete a Fellowship in Pain Management at UCSF in 2005, he returned to Rochester building his practice initially with a primarily anesthesia group before joining Rochester Brain and Spine full time heading up Pain Management.   He specializes in nonsurgical, fluoroscopic-guided interventional pain management.  His focus has been on neuropathic pain and cancer pain, using specialized techniques like Radiofrequency Ablation and Dorsal Column Stimulation.

Satish Acharya, MD

Dr. Satish Acharya is one of our Pain Physicians who treats Pain conditions including Neck, Low Back and Spinal Pain. He is Board Certified both by the American Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Pain Medicine. He graduated from Medical school in Bombay, India after which he did training in Internal Medicine in the U. K. In 1980 he came to the USA and did a Residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. After finishing that training he came to Rochester and has been Practicing Anesthesia and Pain Medicine since then. He was working as a Full time Attending Physician at Genesee Hospital till 2001. After that he has focused mainly on Pain Medicine especially Interventional Pain Management which involves Nerve Blocks, etc to treat pain conditions. He has had extensive hands-on training and experience doing procedures for treatment of Pain Conditions. Dr Acharya believes in treating each patient with understanding, compassion and respect He is married with 3 children. He enjoys Golf, Tennis and Reading.

Christie M. McMorrow, MD

Christie M. McMorrow received double bachelor of sciences with majors in physiology and in microbiology from Oklahoma State University before graduating from medical school at the University of Oklahoma. She was awarded the Charles A. Carmack Student of the year as a fourth year medical student. She completed her internship at the University of Oklahoma, then General Surgery and Neurosurgery training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. McMorrow received extensive training in complex spine surgery and rehabilitation as Thomas Jefferson University is a Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center. Since completing residency in 1997, Dr. McMorrow has worked in private practice as well as academic assignments. She served as vice chairman of neurosurgery at the level one trauma center in Orlando, FL. She has worked throughout the United States from Alaska to Florida and Maine to New Mexico during her neurosurgical career. Dr. McMorrow’s interests in neurosurgery are restoration of spine function following injury and maximal supportive care for brain injury related to trauma or stroke. Her approach encompasses complex open surgery to minimally invasive techniques. The goal being maximal improvement with minimal intervention. She believes in a multidisciplinary approach incorporating mind, body, and spirit to achieve maximal recovery. Dr McMorrow was born and raised in Ohio. She enjoys jogging, water skiing, bicycling and maintains a daily yoga practice.
